A Palestinian-American adolescent after completing nine months in imprisonment by Israel without being charged was released.

Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old when he was arrested last February throughout the West Bank territory, during a family visit from his Florida home under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.

The US state department expressed satisfaction with the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, was taken to hospital right after being freed, relatives told the media.

They said he is pale, underweight, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.

Through an official statement, the youth's uncle spoke of the family's "immense relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" over the last nine months.

"At this moment, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives urgent medical care he requires after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment over several months."

US officials said it would continue to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"US government authorities gives utmost importance to ensuring the safety of US citizens"," it added.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to US authorities and President Donald Trump, urging greater action for his freedom.

Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop based in Tampa, previously said his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son following the detention, and only heard about his son's condition in detention through court documents.

The teenager remained absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary on the West Bank.

It is also home to grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and murder.

There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, as well as the United Nations, document cases involving abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced the family would also continue fighting seeking justice for their relative their cousin Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian who the Palestinian health ministry said was beaten to death by Israeli settlers following tensions last July.

During that period, defense forces stated authorities were looking into information regarding a civilian had been killed.

The two cousins collaborated within the family's frozen treats establishment in Tampa, Florida.

No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.

"We anticipate the American government to safeguard our relatives," Mr Kadur said.
