FC Barcelona to Host Inaugural Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
